A poor boy cracked the country’s highest exam. Nandala Saikiran from Welichala village, Ramadugu mandal, Karimnagar district, proved that poverty, failure and expensive coaching did not stop him from reaching his desired goal by cracking civils while working.

Born in a family of handloom workers, Saikiran did his primary, high school and inter-education in his own district. While studying engineering at NIIT Warangal , his father Kantha Rao died of cancer in 2016 while working as a handloom worker. Still his mother working as beedi roller.
Later, he got a job in a multination software company in Hyderabad, while working with job he tried taking online coaching for the Civil Services Exam, Sai failed completely in the first attempt, but in the second attempt, he succeeded by attaining the 27th top rank in the UPSC 2023 results.
